Join us in the “Barb City” as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Joseph F. Glidden’s “The Winner” barbed wire patent, which fenced the West and put DeKalb on the map. We are partnering with the Antique Barbed Wire Society to host a barbed wire expo at Northern Illinois University’s Altgeld Hall. Check out extensive barbed wire collections, history demos, and mingle with local historians and barbed wire collectors from across the nation!
